PAC To Challenge ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli At Death Before Dishonor

PAC replaces the injured Mark Briscoe

The ROH World Title match has been set for the Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view on July 21, with a new matchup made following last night's episode of AEW Dynamite.

During the Blood and Guts main event, Castagnoli accidentally hit his teammate PAC with an uppercut, resulting in 'The Bastard' walking out on the match. An irate Claudio challenged him backstage after, to which PAC accepted (while referring to Blackpool as a "s***hole"). You can view that exchange here.

Mark Briscoe was originally scheduled to challenge Claudio Castagnoli at the show in Trenton, New Jersey, but had to withdraw due to injury. It is believed Briscoe suffered a knee injury which will require surgery.

Several other title matches are scheduled for Death Before Dishonor. The current card is as follows:

  • Claudio Castagnoli (c) vs. PAC - ROH World Championship
  • Samoa Joe (c) vs. Dalton Castle - ROH World Television Championship
  • Katsuyori Shibata (c) vs. Daniel Garcia - Pure Wrestling Rules - ROH Pure Championship
  • Athena (c) Vs. Willow Nightingale - ROH Women's World Championship
  • The Lucha Brothers (c) vs. The Kingdom vs. Best Friends vs. Aussie Open - ROH World Tag Team Championship
