Bryan Danielson Undergoes Surgery, Posts Recovery Update

The American Dragon Bryan Danielson is on the mend after surgery

AEW star Bryan Danielson has posted an update on his recovery from injury.

The American Dragon suffered a fractured arm during his main event match with Kazuchika Okada at NJPW/AEW Forbidden Door on June 25. Posting on Twitter, Danielson shared a picture of before-and-after x-rays alongside the caption:

"Also, to give everyone an update before #AEWDynamite, I got surgery on my arm about two weeks ago, where they put in a steel rod and 9 screws. Surgery went well and I'm on the road to recovery. Thank you all for the support, and check out #BloodAndGuts tonight!"

Tony Khan noted earlier this week during the Blood & Guts/ROH Death Before Dishonor media call that the 42-year-old's injury was a bit worse than initially thought. Khan added that there was no timetable for a return and that Danielson hadn't been coming to shows or attending meetings, he did note, however, that he continued to be in frequent contact with Danielson to discuss thoughts and ideas.

AEW were forced to make changes to several creative plans in the wake of Bryan's injury.
