Report: AEW Makes Several Creative Changes Following Bryan Danielson's Injury

AEW creative plans reportedly changed due to Bryan Danielson injury

Bryan Danielson may have gotten Kazuchika Okada to tap out at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II on June 25, but the American Dragon did not leave Toronto unscathed, having broken his forearm during the hard hitting bout.

Danielson is currently part of the biggest angle in the company for his part in the Blackpool Combat Club vs. Elite feud, and as expected, Danielson will likely miss the forthcoming Blood & Guts III match between the two sides in Boston on July 19, with Fightful Select reporting that Danielson was set to wrestle more on AEW TV following Forbidden Door, including the forthcoming double ring caged bloodbath before the injury occurred.

The injury means that several creative plans have been altered moving forward, but luckily for AEW no participants have yet been confirmed for Blood & Guts.

Danielson has only wrestled sparingly on AEW TV this year, with his last non-PPV bout coming on the February 8 edition of Dynamite. Reports suggest that Danielson has been working hurt, with planned spots in the Anarchy in the Arena Match at Double or Nothing in May altered as a result.
