Pat McAfee On If He Would Like To Wrestle At WWE WrestleMania

Is McAfee open to a WrestleMania match?

Celebrity matches in professional wrestling over the years have been somewhat of a mixed bag, but Pat McAfee impressed everyone when he stepped inside the squared circle against Adam Cole at NXT TakeOver: 30. The former NFL punter has been touted as one of the best on the microphone in wrestling and he impressed fans further in his second match at NXT TakeOver: WarGames.

McAfee was written off WWE TV following WarGames, but he noted on 10 Questions With Kyle Brandt that it would "be dope" to perform at WrestleMania one day. He admitted he doesn't know if it will ever happen, though, because of his schedule and how much dedication a WrestleMania run would need.

"That'd be dope, that would be pretty cool. But once again, just like the NFL thing, now that I've gotten a chance to do it, I have so much respect for everybody that's ever wrestled. The amount of work and the amount of buy-in that you have to have to be a successful wrestler, especially at WWE, WrestleMania - that's a lot," McAfee said.

"The goal would obviously be to have something that people remember as epic, but I'm not 100 percent sure that I'm tough enough to do anything that would result in a WrestleMania-like run, or my schedule has anything that could potentially allow me. But that would be obviously insane if I was at WrestleMania."
