Pat McAfee Returns At WWE WrestleMania 39

Pat McAfee returned to WWE at WrestleMania 39

We were promised surprises headed into WWE WrestleMania 39, and before the main event of Night One we got what we were promised, as Pat McAfee made his surprise return to WWE, making his first appearance since his surprise appearance at the Royal Rumble in January.

After announcing the official attendance for Night One of WrestleMania, The Miz - flanked by Snoop Dogg - claimed he had posted an open challenge online but no-one answered him, promoting McAfee to make his presence known.

McAfee challenged Miz to a match on the spot, criticising Miz and his ‘tiny balls’ for trying to get out of a fight, before Snoop Dogg made the match official. McAfee rushed Miz from the opening bell, crushing the former WWE Champion with a spinebuster, before nailing a superkick on ‘The A-Lister’ as he was flying off the top rope.

Miz tried leaving and ended up clashing with San Francisco 49er George Kittle, allowing McAfee to hit a senton to the outside, before rolling Miz back into the ring and punting him in the jaw for the pinfall win.
