Pat McAfee Returns To WWE At Royal Rumble

Pat McAfee is back in WWE!

WWE wasted no time getting to the returns at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view/premium live event.

Before the first match in the Men's Royal Rumble could even get underway, Pat McAfee's entrance music filled the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas and the popular commentator made his way to ringside before he crotch-chopped at Corey Graves and joined him and Michael Cole on commentary for the pay-per-view.

Following his run as an in-ring talent in NXT, McAfee moved to the main roster in April 2021, serving as the colour commentator on Friday Night SmackDown alongside play-by-play announcer Michael Cole. McAfee further established himself as a popular personality, even wrestling in three matches in 2022 at WrestleMania 38 and SummerSlam.

He stepped away from WWE in September 2022, with it being announced that McAfee would be returning to ESPN as a full-time analyst on College Gameday. The College American Football season came to an end on January 9.

If McAfee is back just for tonight or for a longer run back on Friday Night SmackDown is unknown.
