Pat McAfee's WWE Commentary Criticised By Bully Ray

Bully thinks McAfee has been 'forcing' things lately.

Bully Ray (AKA Bubba Ray Dudley) isn't convinced by Pat McAfee's recent efforts at the WWE broadcast table.

McAfee returned to the company full-time at Royal Rumble 2024 and now calls Raw alongside Michael Cole, having previously called SmackDown with Cole between April 2021 and September 2022.

Speaking about Pat's performances during a recent edition of Busted Open Radio, Bully said:

"I don't know about Pat lately. You know, people were bitching about Tony Romo on the last play of the Super Bowl, talking over, who was it? Jim Nantz? Talking over him. It's almost like I feel [that] lately McAfee is throwing stuff in there where it doesn't belong. He's forcing stuff, and I never felt that way about Pat before"

Ray's Busted Open co-host Dave Lagreca agreed with the assessment that McAfee has been over-the-top of late. Bully added that he felt as though Pat also forced things as part of the event panel for the WrestleMania XL kickoff event.

Though not an active part of the company, Bully Ray (along with longtime tag partner D-Von Dudley) signed WWE Legends deals last year.
