Pat McAfee To Miss Monday Night RAW
Pat McAfee won't be commentating next week
Jan 18, 2025
Pat McAfee returned to WWE programming Monday Night RAW’s Netflix premiere on January 6, re-joining Michael Cole on the commentary desk to become the brand new two-man pairing for RAW on Netflix going forwards. This shook up the current WWE commentary teams, with Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett leading the line over on SmackDown.
WWE heads to the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas on January 20, but Pat McAfee won’t be in attendance. It was announced by ESPN this week that McAfee is set to host Field Pass with his Pat McAfee Show team during the CFB Playoff National Championship Game between Ohio State and Notre Dame, making him unavailable for his commentary duties.
The usual assumption would be that Corey Graves would return alongside Michael Cole at the commentary desk, but the last week has seen Graves engulfed in controversy after airing his grievances over being moved to NXT, leading to him being taken off TV with his current status unknown. On SmackDown this week, Wade Barrett announced that he would be the one working alongside Cole on RAW.
