Paul Heyman Shares Photo of Gable Steveson With Roman Reigns For ‘Historical Reasons’

The NCAA champion has been vocal about wanting to make a splash in WWE

Paul Heyman took to social media over WrestleMania weekend in the name of ‘historical referencing’, as he posted a picture of himself alongside WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, and Gable Steveson, the 20 year-old amateur wrestling prodigy.

Taking to Instagram, Heyman said:

“Presented LIVE from backstage at @WWE #WrestleMania for future historical reference …."

Steveson has been vocal about wanting to make a name for himself in the WWE, following in the footsteps of fellow Minnesotan NCAA champion Brock Lesnar, and has even said in the past that he wishes to be a ‘Paul Heyman guy’.

The Olympic hopeful has been a guest at several WWE shows recently, and Triple H had talked about Steveson after NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver Night two;

"Gable came here tonight. He enjoyed the show as a guest. He had his dad with him. He just won the NCAA championships and the national championships and obviously, qualified for the Olympics. That is a big task at hand, so… He's a huge fan of what we do. we've been talking for a long time. He wanted to come out here, see TakeOver, see WrestleMania, and we'll see where it goes," said Triple H.
