WWE Confirms Changes To Raw Commentary Team

Tom Phillips and Samoa Joe are out, Adnan Virk and Corey Graves are in

Over the weekend, reports noted that MLB Network's Adnan Virk would be replacing Tom Phillips as the play-by-play commentator from tonight's edition of Monday Night Raw and WWE has now confirmed the change

Virk will be joined at the commentary table by Byron Saxton, who will remain on the red brand, and Corey Graves who makes the jump from Friday Night SmackDown.

Following the announcement, Virk said: "I'm elated to be joining the premier sports-entertainment company in my new role with WWE. As a kid who grew up idolizing WWE Hall of Famers like Bret Hart and Ric Flair, the opportunity to call modern legends like Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, Randy Orton, Charlotte Flair and so many others alongside Corey Graves and Byron Saxton is truly humbling."

The changes also mean Samoa Joe will no longer be a colour commentator on Monday nights, but WWE confirmed he remains a member of the talent roster. The Samoan Submission Machine has been on the shelf since he suffered back-to-back concussions in early 2020.

In regards to Tom Phillips, he will become the host of 205 Live and oversee special projects for WWE programming on Peacock. He also remains in his backstage role as Senior Manager, On Air Talent.
