Paul Rudd Amazed By Orange Cassidy's Gimmick

Paul Rudd was amazed by Orange Cassidy during the media rounds for the next Ant-Man movie

Orange Cassidy has a new fan and it's Paul Rudd!

Cassidy's King of Sloth Style gimmick where he can't summon up the energy at times to even hit a proper strike never mind a wrestling move has proved hugely popular with All Elite Wrestling fans since his debut in 2019 and he is one of the most featured performers on Dynamite and Rampage as All-Atlantic Champion.

The gimmick is inspired by Paul Rudd's character Andy from cult comedy 'Wet Hot American Summer', a man who considers himself too cool for everything around him, but the Ant-Man star was unaware of Cassidy's existence.

That has since changed, though, as Esquire Middle East interviewed Rudd ahead of the release of 'Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania' and asked him about Cassidy. Rudd admitted he hadn't heard of the King of Strong Style before adding: "That's amazing. How did I not know this? Thank you for telling me."

Esquire encouraged Rudd to find out more about the AEW All-Atlantic Champion. If this will lead to Ant-Man vs. Orange Cassidy remains to be seen but Cassidy would likely win any encounter due to his penchant for Superman punches.
