Paul Wight Revealed To Be Chris Jericho's Big Friend, Will Make In-Ring Return On November 15 AEW Dynamite

Chris Jericho teaming with ‘big friend’ Paul Wight on November 15 AEW Dynamite

Chris Jericho had recently hinted that he had a ‘big friend’ in his corner ready to step up and help himself and Kenny Omega with their war against Don Callis’ family. On the November 1 edition of AEW Dynamite we found out just who this ‘big friend’ was - none other than Paul Wight.

Omega and Jericho teamed together to defeat Jericho’s former allies Matt Menard and Angelo Parker on Dynamite, with Callis coming out post-match to challenge the two to an eight-man street fight on November 15.

Omega said he’d bring in Golden Lover Kota Ibushi to aid himself and ‘The Ocho’ against Konosuke Takeshita, Will Ospreay, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Kyle Fletcher, with Callis laughing that they were still a partner short. Cue Paul Wight, who took out Fletcher as The Family retreated.

Wight and Jericho enjoyed a dominant run as Jeri-Show in WWE in the late 2000s, with the two reuniting on several occasions afterwards. November 15 will serve as Wight’s in-ring return, with the former Big Show last wrestling on AEW Dark: Elevation in March 2022. This will also be Wight’s Dynamite debut, with his previous three AEW matches coming on Dark: Elevation, whilst his sole PPV outing came against QT Marshall at All Out 2021.
