Penelope Ford Pulled From AEW Rampage Due To Injury

Ford was supposed to face Willow Nightingale

AEW star Penelope Ford has been sidelined with an injury, and was unable to compete on the October 21 episode of Rampage.

Ford was originally scheduled to wrestle Willow Nightingale, but Tony Schiavone revealed during an in-show interview with TBS Women's champion Jade Cargill that Ford had to pull out due to the injury. Leila Grey filled in for the match, and went on to lose to Nightingale.

The nature of Ford's injury is not known, nor is there any indication of how long she may be out of action.

Ford missed approximately seven months of action in 2022, and returned to the ring in August, defeating Heather Reckless at a Dark Elevation taping. Since returning, she's appeared in singles matches, as well as mixed tag bouts alongside husband Kip Sabian.

Over the past couple months, Ford also challenged Toni Storm for the interim AEW Women's title, and has teamed with Jamie Hayter and Serena Deeb in trios bouts. Her most recent match was taped for Dark: Elevation on October 12, teaming with Sabian to defeat Jeremy Prophet and Jessika Neri.
