People In AEW Raving About PAC Vs. Andrade El Idolo II
Some are claiming it as one of the greatest matches in AEW history
After a slow start to life in AEW, it seems as though Andrade el Idolo is starting to hit his groove in the promotion, with reports suggesting his upcoming bout against PAC on Rampage is one of the best in Rampage history.
The report comes from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer, who said the following about the bout:
“Talent, management and fans at the show were raving to me about the Andrade vs. Pac rematch taped on October 16 that airs on the October 22 Rampage show. People who were texting me star ratings from the match had it at ****½ to *****, with most saying it was the best Rampage match to date.”
Meltzer continued: “One top name who has been in his share of the best matches in the company said it was among the best matches in company history. The consensus was it was Andrade’s best match since the Johnny Gargano match at Takeover.”
Since joining AEW in the Summer, Andrade has wrestled three matches, with victories over Matt Sydal and PAC, as well as a loss in the recent Casino Ladder Match on the October 6 edition of Dynamite.
