Piper Niven To Add New Elements To Her WWE Character Following Name Change

Piper Niven speaks about making some new changes to her persona as a WWE Superstar.

At last Saturday's Royal Rumble, Piper Niven made her return in the Women's Rumble match, signalling the end of her previous 'Doudrop' ring name. Speaking to MySanAntonio.com, Niven spoke about making changes to her WWE Superstar persona. She talked about struggling mentally after having to take time away from in-ring competition, but hopes to turn the experience into something productive from a character point of view, explaining:

"It's been an interesting few months [on the sideline] and I am looking forward to bringing the real-life experience I had and making it a part of my storyline. And I hope it raises awareness with a lot of people, because I think it is something a lot of people go through.

"[WWE creative] called me in and were like, ‘Hey, do you have some ideas?’ And I was like, ‘Well, this has been going on in my real life, and I think it would be cool to work that into a storyline.' Luckily, they were so receptive and really, really liked it. So it is very exciting.”
