Pretty Deadly Win NXT Tag Team Titles

Pretty Deadly win NXT Tag Team Championships on NXT 2.0 debut

Pretty Deadly are your new NXT Tag Team Champions, winning the straps on their NXT 2.0 in-ring debut on the April 12 edition of WWE NXT 2.0.

The titles were recently vacated by MSK after Nash Carter was released by WWE over domestic abuse allegations and matters pertaining to his personal life, so the decision was made to put the titles up for grabs in a five-team gauntlet match.

Pretty Deadly entered last to overcome The Creed Brothers, who had disposed of Legado del Fantasma, Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen, and Grayson Waller & Sanga earlier in the match. This win makes Pretty Deadly the first team in NXT history to win the titles on their in-ring debut, and the second to have held both the NXT and NXT UK Tag Team Championships.

The team of Elton Prince and Kit Wilson made their first appearance for the brand on April 5, when it was revealed that they had been vandalising The Creed Brothers’ dressing room, before Sam Stoker and Lewis Howley changed their names to Wilson and Prince respectively. They have been with WWE since 2019.
