A busy weekend of pro wrestling lies ahead as Ring of Honor will present Death Before Dishonor from Philadelphia's 2300 Arena, while WWE Clash in Paris is scheduled to air from La Defense Arena on Sunday, August 31.
Ahead of those events, though, spoilers have emerged on the results of two title matches at Clash In Paris. There is also an update on why Raw will have an earlier start time for some September episodes, and the latest on Karrion Kross' pro wrestling future.
These are all the pro wrestling rumours for Friday, August 29, 2025:
WWE will present their Clash in Paris pay-per-view this weekend, and WrestleVotes has reported on WrestleVotes Radio that Seth Rollins is the heavy favourite to retain the World Heavyweight Championship in the four-way featuring CM Punk, LA Knight, and Jey Uso as challengers. Becky Lynch, meanwhile, is the heavy favourite to successfully defend her Women's Intercontinental Title against Nikki Bella.
There are plans for Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins to be champions beyond Clash in Paris, which further suggests they will be winning on Sunday night.
Current card for WWE Clash in Paris:
Three episodes of Monday Night Raw airing from the United States will begin earlier than has been tradition on September 15, September 22, and September 29. Raw has traditionally begun at 8 pm ET when airing from North America, but the three September episodes will instead begin at 7 pm.
Speculation had suggested the change was due to Raw's annual viewership struggles against Monday Night Football and that is indeed the case, according to WrestleVotes on WrestleVotes Radio.
The NFL season is scheduled to begin on Thursday, September 4.
Karrion Kross and Scarlett have been free agents since their WWE contracts expired on September 10, but Kross has indicated he wants to return to the company.
In an update on the situation, Sean Ross Sapp noted on Fightful Select Answers Q&A that he hasn't heard of any subsequent contact between WWE and Kross, nor has Sean Ross Sapp heard of any talks between Kross and All Elite Wrestling.
Tony Khan has addressed Chris Jericho's future with All Elite Wrestling on the pre-ROH Death Before Dishonor media call, saying:
"I would never be where I am in AEW without Chris Jericho, nor would we be in a position where I could have bought ROH. I'm very grateful to Chris. I think the world of Chris and I would love to have Chris back. He's been a great star for us since the very beginning of AEW and ROH as well. If and when the time presents itself, hopefully, I would love to have Chris back. I think the world of him and Chris Jericho is always in the highest of standing with me, AEW, and ROH. He has been a great ambassador, leader, and friend to all of us. Chris Jericho is a huge part of our company here."
Jericho has been gone from AEW programming since the post-Dynasty episode of Dynamite in April. His contract is due to expire at the end of 2025, though, and the expectation is he will return to WWE when the 54-year-old is able to do so.

The partnership of Chelsea Green and Ethan Page has been popular on WWE NXT and the faction could see Page be brought to the main roster alongside Green.
According to WrestleVotes, several within WWE want to see Green and Page appear on SmackDown together in the near future, and some believe the Canadian faction would quickly establish 'All Ego' on the main roster.
"Hearing several within WWE would like to see the current pairing of Chelsea Green & NXT North American Champion Ethan Page appear on SmackDown in the near future, as their chemistry on NXT TV has impressed many. Additionally, some believe this newly minted Canadian faction would quickly establish Page as a key player," WrestleVotes tweeted.
It was announced as part of All Elite Wrestling's new TV deal with Warner Bros. Discovery that AEW pay-per-views would be available to order on HBO Max. Eight months on from the deal taking effect, however, and there has yet to be any official details about when fans will be able to order PPVs on the WBD-owned streaming service.
According to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast, there will be an announcement about AEW pay-per-views on HBO Max in the coming weeks.
Fightful Select has also noted that different possibilities they have heard include the cost of Max being discounted from the price of AEW pay-per-views or a $10 discount being applied on HBO Max. The outlet has not heard anything about AEW pay-per-views being available for no additional cost on HBO Max, similar to WWE's deals with Netflix and ESPN.
The expectation is additional platforms will still carry AEW pay-per-views, but HBO Max will be pushed as the preferred platform to order the show from.
