Proving Ground Matches Set For ROH TV
ROH TV set to feature the return of ‘Proving Ground’ matches
The era of honor has officially returned, with Ring of Honor TV having resumed on HonorClub after the brand was purchased by Tony Khan in early 2022.
Ahead of the March 16 edition of ROH TV, ROH have announced that two ‘Proving Ground’ matches will take place on the show, with Willie Mack set to take on ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli, whilst Hyan will square off with ROH Women’s World Champion Athena in the non-title bouts.
A mainstay of classic ROH, ‘Proving Ground’ matches are ROH’s take on championship eliminator bouts, with the challenger receiving a shot at the title in question within 60 days should they defeat or draw with the champ.
