Amid a downturn in business in the United States, WWE decided to hold SummerSlam at the world-famous Wembley Stadium in London, England in the Summer of 1992, with 79,000 fans filling the home of the England national football team.
To this day, SummerSlam 1992 remains the biggest pro wrestling event ever held in the United Kingdom, although the show is about to be surpassed by AEW All In, with All Elite Wrestling's debut set to take place at the new Wembley Stadium on Sunday, August 27 in front of over 80,000 fans.
