R-Truth Confirms He Suffered Torn Quad On WWE NXT

R-Truth will be going under the knife to repair it

WWE star R-Truth has confirmed that he suffered a quadriceps tear on the November 1 episode of NXT.

Dave Meltzer had previously reported that the belief was Truth had suffered a torn quad. The 50-year-old sustained the injury while attempting a flip dive over the top rope during his match with Grayson Waller. The match was stopped after Truth caught his knee on the top rope and landed badly at ringside. It was deemed that he was unable to continue and the match was awarded to Waller.

The former United States Champion received treatment from WWE medical personnel, before being walked backstage.

In a video posted to his social media channels, Truth thanked fans for their support and announced that he was set to undergo surgery. He assured those watching that he would be back before they knew it. He also hinted that he may turn his recovery process into a documentary.

There is currently no timetable for Truth's return. However, the injury is serious and will likely keep him on the shelf for several months.
