R-Truth’s shocking return to WWE programming at Money In The Bank 2025 prompted a lot of speculation and talk over the potential of his WWE exit being a work, after it was revealed last week that WWE were not renewing his expiring deal with the company after nearly 20 years of employment.
During the Money In The Bank 2025 post-show press conference, WWE’s Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque was asked about the R-Truth situation, to which he smugly replied that it was “all part of the story”. This contradicted all reports that came out of the premium live event, which noted that Truth’s deal was in fact not getting renewed legitimately as of last week, the backstage reaction from talent was one of real unhappiness, and that a new deal only came into play over the last few days.
On social media, R-Truth himself responded to a claim that the whole thing was part of the storyline and a work, simply stating that it was “no work”. Doubling down on this notion, R-Truth’s son responded to Triple H’s comments in a social media post with a “cap” to suggest that WWE’s Chief Content Officer was lying in his claims.
