Randy Orton Breaks Record For Most Matches In WWE Raw History

Congratulations to The Viper

Randy Orton has become the wrestler with the most matches ever in WWE Raw history following his bout on this week's show.

Orton, along with tag-team partner Riddle, successfully defended the Raw Tag Team Championships against Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode on the November 29 episode of Raw, and The Viper's involvement in the bout puts him alone at the top of the mountain with the most matches in the show's long history.

In being involved on Raw this week, Orton has now competed in 437 matches on WWE's red brand, taking him past the record that has long been held by WWE Hall Of Famer Kane, who has sat on 436 matches for a while.

All Elite Wrestling's Chris Jericho is in third place on the overall list, with 420 matches, while Triple H has competed in 377 matches on the red brand.

John Cena competes the top five, having wrestled 373 times on WWE Monday Night Raw.

Orton's first-ever match on WWE Raw came in September 2002, when the Legend Killer defeated Steven Richards.

Orton's newest achievement in WWE comes just a week after he also set the record for most matches ever on WWE pay-per-view, with his outing at Survivor Series 2021 taking him to 177.
