Raw Women's Championship Match Set For WWE Extreme Rules 2021

The Opportunity defends against Alexa Bliss

Alexa Bliss will get the opportunity to take the Raw Women's Championship from Charlotte Flair at WWE Extreme Rules 2021.

Bliss has poked and prodded at Flair in recent weeks, since The Queen claimed the Raw Women's Title in a Triple Threat Match at SummerSlam 2021, and Bliss will now get her chance at the Championship on Sunday 26 September in Columbus, Ohio.

Charlotte successfully defended the Raw Women's Title against Nia Jax on Monday Night Raw this week, as a distraction from Shayna Baszler allowed The Opportunity to hit Natural Selection and get the pin.

After the bout, Bliss and Lilly appeared on the screen and invited Flair to join them in Alexa's Playground. When Charlotte refused, Bliss said they'd bring the playground to her.

With that, the lights went out and, when they came back up, Bliss was in the ring with Flair. Flair asked Bliss what she wanted, to which she responded by pointing at the Raw Women's Title. Charlotte would then agree to give Bliss the match.

Charlotte Flair vs. Alexa Bliss will take place at WWE Extreme Rules in three weeks' time on a pay-per-view card that also includes Bobby Lashley vs. Randy Orton for the WWE Title, Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women's Title, and Damian Priest vs. Sheamus for the United States Championship.
