Real Reason Matt Hardy Was At WWE Raw

Matt Hardy was in attendance at the March 18 edition of Monday Night Raw and the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion was spotted sitting in a box alongside wife Reby Hardy inside PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina. Reby also posted a TikTok of the couple watching Raw and she appeared very happy when Michael Cole name-dropped Matt and Jeff Hardy on Raw, referencing their brother vs. brother match at WrestleMania 25. 

Matt's pro wrestling future is currently up in the air as his contract with All Elite Wrestling is set to expire in March. Hardy recently noted he is in talks with AEW over a new deal and Matt would like to continue with the promotion. He is also fine if the two parties go their separate ways, however.

Matt popping up at Monday Night Raw amid uncertainty over his pro wrestling future fuelled speculation on social media but Fightful Select has reported that Hardy was simply visiting at Raw. A friend of Reby's invited the couple to sit in their suite at PNC Arena for Raw and Reby and Matt ended up visiting for around 90 minutes. There was no meeting between WWE and Matt Hardy while he was at the arena. 

There has been more crossover between WWE and AEW talents attending shows from the other promotion in recent weeks. WWE's Bayley, Naomi, and Tamina were all in attendance at Boston's TD Garden for Mercedes Moné's AEW debut at Big Business.
