Reason Behind Hologram's AEW Absence Revealed

Hologram has not wrestled for AEW since all the way back at the WrestleDream 2024 PPV when he defeated The Beast Mortos in a two-out-of-three falls match in October. Hologram was written off TV after an attack by LFI, and has not been seen since. It was believed he suffered an injury during the match itself, resulting in him missing shows going forwards. 

A report emerged in the weeks following that Hologram had suffered from a ‘serious’ ankle injury, with no timetable on a comeback. Over the weekend a new snippet of information has cropped up which could explain why Hologram has still not been back in the mix. In a Daily Update on F4WOnline, Dave Meltzer revealed that Hologram has been at home due to his wife waiting to give birth. She has now given birth to their Holochild, so it is noted that Hologram should be ‘imminently’ ready for a return to an AEW ring. 

There was no mention of an injury in this update, so this could suggest that Hologram has recovered and was taking an extended time away due to his wife giving birth. We send congratulations to the new parents and hope that the Hologramish genes don’t lead to the baby walking through walls.
