Report: John Cena Vs. Logan Paul '100% Not Happening' At WrestleMania
Don't expect to see John Cena take on Logan Paul at WrestleMania 41
Dec 28, 2024
There were rumours emerging over the last week of a potential WrestleMania 41 match between Logan Paul and John Cena, in a match that would serve as Cena’s final ever bout at a WrestleMania due to 2025 hosting his official retirement tour before hanging up the boots. A report emerged stating that those behind the scenes on the creative team had a collective negative response to the discussions surrounding this matchup, and it seems as though it is no longer a potential plan for WWE.
In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer revealed that although Logan Paul pitched for a WrestleMania match with the 16-time WWE World Champion, the match is ‘100% not happening’. When it comes to who will be the opponent for Cena, Meltzer notes that the idea is for Cena to challenge for a world title in order to try and break the record held by himself and Ric Flair for most recognised world titles won, currently at 16.
Other reports emerging in recent days suggest that a match between John Cena and Cody Rhodes could be on the cards.
