Reason For AEW WrestleDream Injury Angle With Rey Fenix Revealed
Rey Fenix was quickly pulled from his match at AEW WrestleDream

Rey Fenix wasn't in action for very long at All Elite Wrestling's WrestleDream pay-per-view on Sunday, October 1.
Fenix teamed with his Lucha Brothers tag team partner Penta El Zero Miedo at WrestleDream against The Young Bucks, The Gunns, and Orange Cassidy & HOOK in a Four-Way for a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Titles at any time. Fenix opened the match but he quickly collapsed in the opening minutes due to his injured shoulder and he was written out of the match after being thrown around the ringside area by The Gunns.
This left Penta to fight on without his brother and The Young Bucks would ultimately win the Four-Way following a BTE Trigger. They will face FTR at a future date.
Despite the angle, Fenix did not suffer an injury at WrestleDream and he was written out of the match to protect him for Dynamite as he is banged up, according to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer.
"Fenix deal was an injury angle to try to protect him for Wednesday given he's really banged up," Alvarez tweeted.
Fenix sustained an injury during his AEW International Title match with Jon Moxley at Dynamite Grand Slam following a dive that also gave Moxley a minor concussion. Fenix would win the match after Moxley called an audible. The Lucha Brother is scheduled to defend the AEW International Title against Nick Jackson on Wednesday night's edition of Dynamite.
