On this week's episode of Monday Night Raw, MVP and Bobby Lashley unveiled the new United States Championship. This was the first time the belt had been redesigned in 17 years and the new strap has received a mixed reaction from fans. Some have praised the belt's somewhat old school design but others have pointed out that it would look much better if the stars were surrounded by a blue background.

Back in December, the "Human Belt Encyclopedia" @BeltFanDan tweeted that WWE had decided to redesign the belt and the new strap had just been delivered to the company.

He wrote: "New U.S. belt was delivered... No idea what it looks like."

Some doubted the report, especially after WWE didn't unveil the new belt for six months, but @BeltFanDan confirmed the strap was indeed delivered to the wrestling behemoth late last year as he posted a picture taken on December 20, 2019, of himself holding the redesigned title.

Which title belt WWE will redesign next remains to be seen but reports in the past month have noted the company will unveil a larger NXT Championship down the line.
