Renee Dupree: WWE Must Be Desperate If They'll Have Goldberg Back

The former WWE Tag Team Champion is seemingly not a fan

Goldberg’s continuing role in WWE has been divisive to say it mildly, with some fans nostalgic for the legendary WCW World Champion, whilst others see Goldberg as taking a spot that would be better suited to a full-time competitor.

It seems that former WWE Tag Team Champion Renee Dupree is in the latter camp.

Taking to the 90s Wrestling podcast, Dupree shared his experiences with Goldberg, saying:

“Yeah he dislocated my collarbone. We [La Resistance] had a pre-tape in the back with Goldberg and he hit me with the French flag and we had to do five takes. To this day, if I try to flex it, it still hurts. Yeah he’s the s***s. He’s horrible, many wrestlers will tell you that.”

Dupree continued “To me they [WWE] must be desperate. That’s the only thing I can figure. They can’t create new stars or they don’t have confidence in the people they have.”

Dupree was originally with WWE from 2003 to 2007, where at 19 years old he stood as the youngest champion in company history, until Nicholas won the Raw Tag Titles at ten years old at WrestleMania 34.
