Report: Absent AEW/ROH Star Returning Soon

An AEW/ROH star could be returning soon

AEW/ROH are set to receive a welcome roster boost, with a major star set to make a return to action after wrestling just once in the past several months.

After taking time off to play the part of Sweet Tooth in the upcoming Twisted Metal TV series, ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe could be in line for a return to the ring, with a Tweet from Michael Jonathan confirming that filming on the live action adaptation of Twisted Metal has wrapped.

Since joining AEW/ROH at Supercard of Honor XV in April, Joe has wrestled across both promotions, last wrestling at Ring of Honor Death Before Dishonor 2022 in July.

Joe made his return to Ring of Honor after receiving his second release in as many years from WWE, leaving the sports entertainment giant in early 2022 - several months after defeating Karrion Kross for the NXT Title.

This is currently Joe’s third run with ROH, having notched up the single longest reign as ROH World Champion during his first stint with the company from 2002 to 2008, then returning for several matches after leaving TNA in 2015, shortly before joining WWE NXT.
