Report: AEW Backstage Fight From CM Punk & Ace Steel's Perspective Revealed

How CM Punk and Ace Steel saw the AEW backstage fight

All Elite Wrestling has appeared to be in chaos in recent days since a fight between The Elite, CM Punk and Ace Steel on Sunday night following the promotion's All Out pay-per-view.

While some aspects of the altercation are disputed, what is known is that The Elite confronted CM Punk following his inflammatory All Out press conference, during which he took shots at the AEW EVPs, Colt Cabana, and Hangman Page. Punk threw punches at The Young Bucks while Ace Steel got involved at some point, biting Kenny Omega and throwing a chair that left Nick Jackson with a black eye. Both parties were then separated and The Elite eventually left after much shouting and cursing.

Further details on the altercation have since been revealed, courtesy of Fightful Select, who have reported on the fight from CM Punk and Ace Steel's perspectives. From the AEW World Champion's side of things, The Young Bucks approached Punk's locker room and pounded on the door. Punk ultimately did not answer and claims have noted the former AEW World Tag Team Champions then "kicked the door down."

Punk's side have also claimed that Matt Jackson swung the first punch but missed which resulted in Punk responding. At this point, Nick "was pretty much taking it in" and Omega and Ace Steel then pushed their way into the room. Steel's wife was in the vicinity and the AEW producer told people this is what prompted him to "go ballistic" as he was just looking out for his partner more than anything else. Kenny Omega also initially did not seem nearly as upset but the incident quickly got out of hand.
