Report: AEW In Talks With Andrade

Will El Idolo join AEW?

All Elite Wrestling are in talks with former WWE Superstar Andrade, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The current status of the talks is currently unknown, however.

Andrade was released by WWE in March after spending months on the sidelines and he revealed soon after that he was in talks with "several companies", one of which appears to be AEW.

At the time, El Idolo noted he was looking to sign an exclusive deal to wrestle in the United States, but he wanted to perform for other promotions in Mexico and Japan.

Andrade has since looked to re-establish himself on the Mexican wrestling scene. His first match since departing WWE is scheduled for Federacion Wrestling's inaugural show on June 19. He will team with La Bestia Del Ring, RUSH and a surprise partner against Matt Taven, PJ Black and two surprise partners. Andrade is then booked to face Alberto El Patron on July 31 and he challenged AEW star Kenny Omega to a AAA Mega Championship match at TripleMania, but no date for the event has been set as of yet.
