Report: AEW Revolution 2021 To Be Pushed Back

Sting will have to wait a little bit longer for his return match

During Full Gear 2020, All Elite Wrestling announced they would return to pay-per-view on February 27 for the second edition of Revolution.

The show will no longer take place on February 27, though, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Dave Meltzer. A new date has yet to be finalised but March 6 and March 7 have both been discussed. The show will also reportedly take place at Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida, which has been AEW's home during most of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Meltzer didn't note why Revolution was being pushed back, but he pointed out that February 27 had been talked about as a possible date for a Jake Paul pay-per-view. AEW's lowest-drawing pay-per-view was Full Gear 2019, which went head-to-head with KSI vs. Logan Paul II.

With the show being moved, Sting will have to wait a little bit longer to make his return to the squared circle. The Icon hasn't wrestled since September 2015, but AEW announced last night that he will team with Darby Allin against Brian Cage and Ricky Starks in a Street Fight.

Check out the card for Revolution below:
• Sting & Darby Allin vs. Brian Cage & Ricky Starks - Street Fight
• The Young Bucks (c) vs. TBD by a Battle Royal at Beach Break - AEW World Tag Team Championship
