A pay-per-view level TV special from All Elite Wrestling during the NHL playoffs is under consideration.

AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery have worked together to provide Collision with strong lead-ins in 2025, with Grand Slam Australia airing after the NBA All-Star Weekend in February, while Collision Slam Dunk aired in two one-hour blocks on Saturday, March 22 and Sunday, March 23. The three shows produced some of Collision's strongest ratings since the series premiered in June 2023.

Andrew Zarian has reported on Fightful's Beyond the Bell that a TV special could be held during the NHL playoffs.

"Spoke to someone a couple weeks ago, and they were telling me that these are experiments that Warner is willing to try. College basketball takes precedence, the NBA All-Star weekend takes precedence. Rather than canceling the show, let's put it on a different time slot and see if we could do something with it, maybe you're going to attract different types of fans. We have another opportunity for this during the Stanley Cup, during the NHL playoffs. So listen, anything could change here," Zarian said.

"I heard from two sides, from Warner, that during the Stanley Cup, there's going to be an opportunity to do something very big. The way that it was presented to me is that it is a possibility of a four-hour special happening, or multi-hour. The idea is still soft. It could be just Dynamite on and then followed by a Collision, so a four-hour block...They are looking to do these more to see if they can do a large block of programming and make it feel special for TV. A pay-per-view level special for television."

The NHL regular season is set to conclude on April 17, with the playoffs beginning soon after. Turner Sports are one of the rights holders to the NHL and half of the games in the NHL playoffs will air on TNT or TBS.

AEW and WBD have worked together since 2019. It was recently revealed that Warner Bros. Discovery don't care about the online discourse around AEW TV ratings.
