All Elite Wrestling's TV ratings are heavily discussed on social media but the promotion's partner Warner Bros. Discovery couldn't care less about the online discourse.
That is according to Andrew Zarian on Fightful's Beyond the Bell, who stated that WBD are, instead, very positive about All Elite Wrestling.
"I'll tell you, though, I've been hearing very positive stuff from WBD. I brought up the ratings and the internet chatter to them and they don't care. It doesn't even resonate. The messaging on the internet is not even resonating with these people and they're in key positions there," Zarian said.
WBD are so unconcerned about the discourse around AEW ratings that a Warner Bros. Discovery employee once reacted to a low viewership figure with "People went outside for once, maybe that's not so bad", Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful revealed on X/Twitter.
All Elite Wrestling and Warner Bros. Discovery have been partnered since 2019 and WBD may even hold a minority stake in the pro wrestling promotion.
AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery agreed to a new TV deal in late 2024, with the new deal taking effect from January 2025. The new arrangement is worth around $185 million per year and will run through December 31, 2026. There is also an option for a fourth year with a substantial increase in money for All Elite Wrestling.
AEW Dynamite and Collision have aired on TBS/TNT and been simulcast on the Max streaming service since the beginning of 2025. AEW Rampage, meanwhile, was cancelled at the end of 2024.
