Report: AEW Star Signs Full-Time Deal

AEW have signed another star to a full-time deal

Reports have emerged stating that AEW have signed another member of its roster to a full-time deal.

Despite being part a prominent face on AEW TV for most of 2022, it has been reported that Josh Woods was working without a full-time contract, with Fightful Select reporting that Woods has now signed a full-time deal with the company.

Previously believed to have been signed on a ‘tiered deal’, Woods is believed to have put pen to paper on a three year deal. Prior to this, Woods was effectively a free agent, but with this new multi-year signing, the former ROH PURE Champion is an official member of the roster, with his profile added to the AEW roster page earlier this week.

Since dropping the Ring of Honor PURE Championship to Wheeler Yuta at Supercard of Honor in April, Woods has mostly been seen tagging with Tony Nese on AEW TV.

Prior to Ring of Honor’s self imposed Q1 hiatus and subsequent buy-out by Tony Khan, Woods had held the PURE Title since September 2021, defeating Jonathan Gresham at Death Before Dishonor 2021.
