Following multiple reports which stated that Tony Khan was disappointed with the United States media rights offer from Warner Bros. Discovery for AEW programming, a rosier picture has emerged.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that talks between WBD and All Elite Wrestling are not going badly and there is even some excitement within AEW over a possible deal.

"Nothing is signed. That's that. The exclusivity period is coming up soon so they could open it up and talk to other people and see what's going on there. As far as it going badly, right now I would not call it badly. That would not be a term I would use at all. People who kind of know are somewhat excited about it but, at the end of the day, when the deal is announced that'll be the story," Meltzer said.

All Elite Wrestling's current deal with WBD expires at the end of 2024. Khan was reportedly unhappy with the initial offer from Warner Bros. Discovery as it was not a comprehensive package which included AEW pay-per-views on Max or anything in regards to AEW's media library. Currently, AEW's weekly TV in Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision airs on TNT and TBS, while AEW pay-per-views can be purchased from WBD's Bleacher Report.

AEW's current TV deal is believed to be worth $80 million for 2024 after Warner Bros. Discovery exercised an option year.
