WWE have reportedly signed one of their top stars to a new deal.

Following a report from Dave Meltzer in early January, Fightful Select have confirmed that AJ Styles has signed a new "big-money" contract with WWE.

The Phenomenal One's new contract is a multi-year deal and he will earn "well over" $3 million per year. WWE sources told Fightful Styles "deserved every penny" and that he "would easily make that back for the company."

Styles previously re-signed with WWE in 2019 and his last contract was due to expire in the spring/summer of 2022. The company believed there would be plenty of interest in the former ROH, NJPW and TNA star and they wanted to sign Styles to a new deal before he could become a free agent.

Styles is reportedly "very happy" in WWE and he has mentioned in past interviews that he would like to retire from professional wrestling while with the company.

The two-time WWE Champion's new deal also makes him one of the company's top earners, only below the likes of Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar who earn over $5 million per year.
