Report: AJ Styles Working As A Babyface In WWE Once Again

Babyface Styles

Following a babyface performance on Monday's edition of Raw, it has been confirmed that AJ Styles is once again a face in WWE.

It wasn't clear if The Phenomenal One was a babyface after Omos turned on him and disbanded their tag team on December 20, with both men displaying heelish tendencies in their subsequent brawl, but Styles faced Apollo Crews on December 27 which suggested the two-time WWE Champion was a babyface again.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has since confirmed with several WWE sources that Styles is indeed a babyface while Omos remains a heel.

When Styles' feud with Omos will continue, though, remains to be seen. The former tag team partners were scheduled to face off on Monday's Raw but Omos left Detroit before the show went on the air. Styles remains on TV through his feud with Grayson Waller and the former TNA star will be making an appearance at New Year's Evil next week.

With Styles' latest turn, he is a babyface for the third time in his WWE career.

The Phenomenal One joined WWE as a babyface in January 2016 but he turned heel a few months later to kick off his widely-praised feud with John Cena. Styles then remained a heel for much of the next 12 months until he turned face again after his win over Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 33.

Styles remained a babyface for the next two years, holding the WWE Title for over a year in the process, before he turned heel in July 2019 by attacking Ricochet with Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows.
