Plenty of matches have already been announced for this year's SummerSlam but another title match will reportedly be added to the card before the show on August 5.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Rhea Ripley vs. Raquel Rodriguez for the Women's World Championship is still internally planned for SummerSlam. When the match will be added to the show is unknown, though.

It was noted in recent weeks that Ripley vs. Rodriguez was planned for SummerSlam. The two competitors have been feuding on TV and Rodriguez suffered a storyline knee injury on last week's edition of Monday Night Raw in a brawl with Ripley. The angle only heated up on the July 24 episode of Raw as Ripley pillmanised Liv Morgan's arm, writing Rodriguez's tag team partner off WWE TV for the foreseeable future. Morgan is believed to be dealing with either a dislocated or separated shoulder, which is why she was pulled from TV.

Trish Stratus vs. Becky Lynch is also expected to be added to SummerSlam following Lynch's win over Zoey Stark on Raw. The Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles won't be on the line, though, according to Meltzer, due to Kevin Owens' rib injury. Austin Theory vs. Rey Mysterio or Santos Escobar will also take place on an episode of SmackDown as opposed to at SummerSlam.
