Mexico's CMLL promotion held their latest show on July 24 in Puebla with the likes of Ultimo Guerrero, Metalik, Mistico, and Rocky Romero in action but the biggest events from the show took place outside of the squared circle, with Luchablog reporting that an armed robbery took place at the box office during the show.

While two men were in the ticket booth processing tickets during the show, a masked robber suddenly entered the small office and threw one of the staff members down on a chair and the other on the floor. The robber then kept the staff members pinned while a second robber came in and grabbed the money and other items.

The robbers were able to access the small office with such ease that there wasn't a commotion and multiple fans went up to the box office to buy a ticket, only to realise a robbery was taking place when they looked through the window. The fans included a family and when the father figure moved to help the stricken employees, he was blocked by a third robber, who appeared to show the father figure a weapon which caused him to back off.

In total, 160,000 pesos (approximately $9500) were stolen along with the personal items of Arena Puebla manager Benjamin Mar and ticket seller Enrique Rivera. The incident lasted less than one minute.

Private security was reportedly hired for the arena but they simply didn't do their jobs. Fans inside the building had no idea a robbery was taking place and CMLL have yet to publicly comment on the situation.

The robbers remain at large.
