TNA has been in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons in recent weeks, with a sea of releases and firings of both wrestlers and backstage personnel, prompting discussion of whether or not the recent big money AMC TV deal is even benefiting the promotion, with it soon emerging that the company was in fact reportedly still losing money. However, parent company Anthem is not looking to sell up.

According to PWInsider, Anthem Media has claimed that TNA is not up for sale, nor have they been seeking a sale. This comes around after reports surfaced of TNA being on the market for between $30-$50 million - something which was rejected by Anthem sources who claimed that this was an undervaluing of the company. Another source noted that this talk was designed to hurt TNA on the road to Slammiversary, and that there is no interest at all in a sale - the rejection of Scott D’Amore’s purchase offer was used as an example of this.

On the back of these rumours, AEW’s Tony Khan was asked about the prospect of purchasing TNA, and while he did show some interest if it was possible, he rejected the notion that the promotion was worth the reported price tag.
