Despite wrestling at a recent set of AEW Dark tapings, Ariya Daivari is reportedly still working backstage in WWE.
As revealed on Fightful Select, Daivari worked the most recent Raw and SmackDown shows, co-producing the Cedric Alexander vs. MVP Raw match with Adam Pearce on June 13, and the Roman Reigns vs. Riddle Undisputed WWE Universal Championship main event on SmackDown with Michael Hayes on June 17. Daivari also produced a Reggie vs. T-Bar singles match for WWE Main Event.
Daivari is believed to be working on a trial basis for WWE, having been rehired by the company in April 2022, after being released by WWE in June 2021.
During his in-ring run with WWE from 2016 until 2021, Daivari was a part of the cruiserweight division, mainly wrestling on 205 Live. Daivari also teamed up with brother Shawn Daivari at the Greatest Royal Rumble event in 2018, mocking Saudi Arabia before being beaten down by Mansoor.
After his initial WWE release in 2021, Daivari worked for AEW, NWA, and NJPW STRONG, as well as making the rounds on the independent scene.
