Report: Backstage News On The Elite Using 'Carry On Wayward Son' As AEW Entrance Music

Will The Elite carry on using 'Wayward Son'?

The Elite (Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks) returned to AEW for the first time since the infamous brawl at All Out at this past weekend's Full Gear pay-per-view.

For their big return, The Elite debuted new entrance music, coming out to 'Carry On Wayward Son' by Kansas.

Writing on F4W Online, the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer noted that the song will not be used if members of The Elite are competing in regular tag or singles matches.

He added that the Bucks had wanted to use the song for a long time, as they and their father were big fans of it (and that style of classic rock in general). Meltzer also said that while some believed the song choice to be a response to the events of the past couple of months, this is not the case and their desire to use it has nothing to do with it.

Additionally, Nick and Matt Jackson used the song as entrance music when they did backyard wrestling as teenagers.

Earlier this month, it was reported that the Bucks had filed to trademark the term 'Wayward Sons'. However, the trademark request was abandoned last week.

The Elite are set to compete with Death Triangle (PAC, Rey Fenix & Penta El Zero Miedo) in a Best of Seven series of matches.
