Report: Backstage News On When Brian Pillman Jr. Will Make His WWE TV Debut

The former AEW star has officially signed with WWE.

Former AEW star Brian Pillman Jr. has officially signed with WWE, as confirmed by PWInsider

The 29-year-old's AEW contract expired in July. Pillman Jr. then took part in a WWE tryout in Orlando and was signed to a deal. He had been spotted working out at the WWE Performance Center prior to his signing.

Pillman Jr. finished up his independent commitments earlier this month, culminating in a loss to NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion Kerry Morton at a show on August 5.

According to PWInsider, there is currently 'no rush' to debut the second-generation performer on WWE television. Per the report, the plan is to get Pillman Jr. into the PC system and allow him to get his feet under him before putting him on TV.

Initially trained by Lance Storm at his Storm Wrestling Academy school, the former MLW World Tag Team Champion made his in-ring debut in December of 2017.

Pillman Jr. occasionally expressed his frustration with his AEW booking, including the decision to remove Julia Hart from the Varsity Blonds.
