Report: Backstage Note On Roman Reigns' WWE Raw Appearance

Roman Reigns wasn't in the arena for WWE Raw

While he primarily sticks to Friday Night SmackDown, Roman Reigns made an appearance on the December 19 edition of Monday Night Raw, being shown in a backstage segment to open the show. After an initial introduction from Paul Heyman, Reigns took umbrage with Kevin Owens bringing back John Cena for the December 30 edition of SmackDown and The Tribal Chief promised to show Owens what The Bloodline could do throughout Raw.

Reigns did not appear on Raw in person and The Usos, Sami Zayn, and Solo Sikoa were instead featured throughout the broadcast, with Zayn picking up a win over AJ Styles following interference from Sikoa, while The Usos would lose to Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins in the main event.

While Reigns may have appeared on Raw, he wasn't actually in the arena for his backstage segment. Fightful Select reported that the segment was taped on Friday in Chicago while Reigns was there for the December 16 and December 23 editions of Friday Night SmackDown.

The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion has had a part-time schedule since re-signing with WWE after WrestleMania 38 and he has rarely appeared on Raw. Reigns also continues to miss some WWE pay-per-views, with his matches being saved for the company's major events.
