After much speculation about if he would join the company at some point, it emerged over the weekend that Chris Hero had begun working with All Elite Wrestling on a trial basis as a producer/agent. Hero worked the ROH TV tapings that were held before and after the debut episode of AEW Collision at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

Hero was said to be on the headset for several Ring of Honor matches, including the main event of Athena vs. Kiera Hogan in a Street Fight. The former PWG World Champion will be in AEW/ROH for a few weeks but it remains to be seen if AEW will sign him on a full-time basis.

Chris Hero was a popular talent on the independent wrestling scene during his time as a pro wrestler. Many talents Hero has worked with in the past are now a part of AEW and Fightful Select noted that many members of the roster were excited to see Hero backstage at the debut episode of AEW Collision.

Many fans have called for one last match from The Kings of Wrestling - the tag team of Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli. If Hero has any plans to return to the squared circle is unknown, however. The 43-year-old hasn't wrestled since a March 2020 taping of NXT UK, where he competed as Kassius Ohno.
