Report: Backstage Reaction To QTV Revealed

QTV debuted on AEW Dynamite on March 15

After several weeks of teases, QTV finally debuted on the March 15 edition of AEW Dynamite, with the QT Marshall-helmed ‘parody’ gossip TV segment helping further the feud between TNT Champion Powerhouse Hobbs and Wardlow.

The angle revealed that Aaron Solo broke into Wardlow’s vehicle ahead of his championship loss to Hobbs, and a report from Fightful Select suggests the segment was well received by many All Elite Wrestling backstage personnel.

The segment was seen as a parody of TMZ, and is somewhat of a departure for AEW. In the past, AEW have mainly relied on interviews and traditional backstage angles rather than specific personality-led interview-style segments such as this.

There’s no word on who produced the QTV segment, nor if there are planned to be more in the series, with the first episode seemingly dividing audience opinion online.

Regardless, it seems like QT Marshall is sticking with Hobbs going forward, with the Nightmare Factory coach assisting Hobbs in his victory over Wardlow on March 8.
