Report: Roxanne Perez Dealing With Undisclosed Medical Issue

More on Roxanne Perez collapsing on WWE NXT

After noting that Roxanne Perez collapsing on the March 7 edition of NXT was a 'cover story for something', Dave Meltzer has reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Perez is dealing with an undisclosed medical issue.

The NXT Women's Champion reportedly isn't dealing with an injury or something that would stop her from wrestling as she was able to work her match at Roadblock with Meiko Satomura and Perez has trained since the match. Meltzer noted the unknown issue could force Perez to take "a very short time or a longer time off and the way the injury storyline was done covers them no matter what the determination is." Perez's immediate future was supposed to become clear sometime this week.

Perez collapsed following her successful NXT Women's Title defence against Satomura on March 7 as part of a storyline and she hasn't appeared on TV since. Shawn Michaels noted on NXT this week that Perez's health was "still in question" and a Ladder Match will be held at Stand & Deliver on April 1 for the NXT Women's Championship. Zoey Stark and Gigi Dolin have qualified for the match so far and it is unknown if Perez will be involved. If the former Rok-C misses the show, a new champion will be crowned.
