Report: Backstage Reaction To The WWE Draft Revealed

How are the WWE roster after the latest draft?

18 months on from their previous roster shakeup, WWE held the 2023 Draft between the April 28 edition of SmackDown and the May 1 episode of Raw Talk.

The likes of Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, GUNTHER, Shinsuke Nakamura, Rhea Ripley, Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, Sami Zayn, and Kevin Owens find themselves as key performers on Monday Night Raw, while Roman Reigns, The Usos, Solo Sikoa, Bobby Lashley, Edge, Bianca Belair, The Street Profits, and Austin Theory are some of the stars exclusive to Friday Night SmackDown.

The WWE Draft is said to have caused "chaos" within the company as talent were being told one thing which would then change soon after. People within the company were also said to be puzzled about who became a free agent during the WWE draft, with there being confusion in particular about Omos having the ability to work both Raw and SmackDown.

WRKD Wrestling has painted a more positive picture of morale within WWE, however, stating that many backstage were very happy with how the roster shakeup played out.

"Dave Meltzer via WOR described WWE backstage after the draft as 'chaotic'. However, we've instead heard many backstage are very happy with the way the rosters shook out, with most wrestlers looking forward to the plans for the World Heavyweight championship and SummerSlam," WRKD Wrestling tweeted.
